Banana Jelly Recipe with Ingredients and Method
| INGREDIENTS |
| Bananas (ripe) 4-6, sugar about 1 cup (small), water to dissolve sugar, cardamom-saffron powder, lime juice 1-2 drops (optional), pure ghee 2tsps (approx.) |
| METHOD |
| Peel
the bananas and cut them into round thin slices. Heat ghee in a pan
and slightly roast these slices into it till they turn pink. Allow them
to soften. Dissolve required sugar in water to make a syrup. Boil the
syrup for about 2 mins. Add the cooked bananas into the syrup and mix
well. Powdered cardamom and saffron (a pinch) adds good flavour to the
syrup. Add little lime juice (optional) to clear the syrup and add a
sweet-n-sour taste.
The syrup can be garnished with raisins or any other dry fruits. Fresh pinapple pieces (finely chopped) can also make wonders to this jelly. |
